On the other news...

Let me just give way to this...found the news from PEP and from Chuvaness:

Now, I remember why I fell in love with my husband....because he used to (and still, in my eyes) look like Jericho Rosales then...eh patay na patay kaya ako kay Echo. As in I have him even in my (*e*) dreams! hahahaha!

Putsa! Putsa talaga! Ay!

They mentioned Raymart Santiago was with him saving their neighbors in Marikina.

On the other hand, Gerald Anderson did the same on their neighborhood. Naks! Hunks and fafa saving lives. Diyaske, for a moment there talaga, I feel like I want to be a damsel in distress ready to be saved by this hunks!

Poor Richard Gutierrez lang--kse it seems like he tried to save only one life--Cristine Reyes lang ata ang kilala nya sa mundo. The time pa raw na he was trying to save Cristine eh may mag iina na may dalang infant who needs much more urgent attention.

Tapos, Ruffa had the nerve to patronize his brother sa The Buzz--hehehe!

Akala ba nya ganun lang yung sitwasyon at magagamit nya yung pagkakataon to promote their movie.

He's like a plague...

Ketsana (International name of Ondoy) is now striking the Vietnam's central provinces. Officials says 38 had died and 10 missing...

We all think, where this would lead? Who can stop him from wreaking homes and killing lives. Unlike a criminal at large, all can hope that in time he could be kept barred forever. This is not made of man---but we are part to blame.

God is sending us messages in every way. The nature is creating havoc asking us to rethink and act now.

What else are we waiting before we realize end is near to us--almost kissing our faces?

Let us not regret the life the we spend in this world.

For more updates regarding typhoon Ketsana, here's the link (from ABS-CBN news) and link from BBC News.

Truth or Lies...?

One of my colleague forwarded me this message about "Jacque Bermejo". The new celebrity in cyber world. However, her popularity is something that no one would EVER want.

For two days now, after the typhoon Ondoy hit the country , the world wide web is hitting a storm of hate messages to Jacque Bermejo's Facebook and Multiply accounts after the latter posted the following messages to her web accounts:

Even our local news here in UAE published her story on their issue today

After searching and reading on the web (there are more than 168000 finds in Google regarding this, do you know?), as someone who is living in the UAE, I took much more interest on this issue---at the end it seems like its another sad story of hacked/hated personal account. Only one thing came to my mind...be aware or beware. The golden rule always applies to everything. Lest everybody should always be careful with what they say/post in the net. Somehow we know, most stories in the net are only half truth if not hyped or lied---we could only rely to our instinct as to what we should believe is true.

We could not even know whether the person whom we see on the pictures posted are real (if not photoshopped). I should know, if there's anything more addictive than cola, it's photo editing! (ahahaha!)

I'm not saying that all things we see in the net aren't real--period.

Internet has been around for a long time now. And people dedicated a lot of time to educate theirselves to be more responsible internet user, sure right?

However, some of us (including me of course) somehow slips and forget that world wide web could be more dangerous than living in the wild.

Today, they have posted her 'official statement'- I also receive Tweets that she would be interviewed in ANC and ABS-CBN Middle East news crew. Wow?!

One more funny thing about the story is how they highlighted her English voc. hahaha! I can't be an English Nazi. I'm not eloquent and all. As long as I get to tell the information true and right...then I'm on it.

The tragedy of Ondoy, the story of mishap for Jacque--it only shows how FILIPINOS unite. We stand to what we believe is right. We fight and never back down...

Hopefully, we could use the same when the HALALAN starts. Yeah, Vote Wisely.

Love life. Live without regrets.

What more can we endure?

Once again, the nature tested our beloved country, the Philippines....

No amount of words could explain the feeling...I am sad, that we are so far away---we cannot even do anything but to spread the word over Twitter and thru this blog about what happen--our countrymen needs a lot of help...

Even people who are known and able, cannot do anything---this is the nature working, defending herself thru all the suffering she's enduring because of our mistake. We pollute, we litter, we are breaking her into pieces.

And now this is the pay of what we've done. We can't do anything but pray---

We can all still help even if we are out of the country. Please tune in to our local news or log on to the following website for more informations:

God bless us all!

Let us all pray for our country...

Philippine's have been all in pain..., cheating, war..and now natural calamity. Just this week, Cotabato was hit my earthquake...what else could happen next???

I don't want to think anymore.

For those who could extend help, please do...prayers are counted you know.

Life is too short, as I always say...please let us all help and be kind to one another. Yes, life is too very short.

I'm back...!!!

Nothing much happened with my 2-day holiday, haaahhh what can you expect here. Aside of cleaning the house, doing some laundry and spending time with my daughter---nothing so special happened.

Well, if playing in Wanasa and riding on that nauseous 'magic bike' thing is special--then, you could consider that we had a great time!

Yeah, I used my two days bonding with my daughter, playing with her and all. But half the time I am running after her, shouting and grunting the whole time. I can't keep up with her. She wants more. She wants this and that. Her chocolate and candies intake are tremendous--it makes her more vigorous.

And surely it all ended up with mom and baby arguments!

I want to buy her coloring and activity books to keep her busy, we even bought a puzzle but at the end--it all went to nothing. She likes hard, forceful games like basketball or wrestling or runnning!

She's a girl! We are suppose to be playing dolls and tea party or beauty sessions but no. Her father, my great husband (hehehe!) taught her all the boy's games. Biking, basketball, swimming and football. Talking about having an only child. And I can't compete. She really likes playing with her dad.

Well, I'm not complaining really--I'm a boyish type too.

Though still, I like her to learn how to sing...to be prim and proper. Ballet perhaps--or yoga one day. But, I think my daughter already show (at early age) that she's not the singing type...I am a frustrated singer, I can say I sing well like every filipinos--natural talent!

But my baby is like Happy Feet---I'm telling you. I'll post the videos soon, for the mean time here's some of here pics on our visit to Al Muhairy Center--I never know they are closed at mid-afternoon. But we wasted no time...picture galore with Papa and Mama Bear!

How I really wish I have a great camera. I love taking pictures of my angel. And she's always game for her poses...next time maybe. This shots were taken using my Nokia phone. Amazing!

Happy weekend guys!

I caught my husband with another girl...

She's his photocopy...isn't it?

I guess, this is the outcome of my "paglilihi". Heheheh!

Thursday is the best day of the week! Not only that we are half day at work (yes peeps! We don't have 2 days weekend, yet! *crossing my fingers*), day is laid back and not too stressful.

There's few activities programmed for the night, like the Barbee-qyuu party for Tin and Tyang (JV na para double ang saya!). But I don't think I can make it--of course when husband is around, the official parteee poop-er! hehehehe--bawal muna ang labas-labas!

I'm planning to cook binagoongang baboy (fried pork with shrimp paste! a filipino delicacy =D), for our lunch --extended to dinner na of course!

Still have to prepare for tomorrow's worship day--my day is saved for Him, syempre naman! Nagpapakabait ako kay God (*bro*), andami kong hinihiling eh.

There's a loooong weekend ahead--yun lang, I can't claim my Eid Holidays on the exact dates since I'm working in site (construction), the show must go on, kaya I'll be having my holidays on 22nd and 23rd.

Fine with me coz' we'll get to avoid the traffic and spending spree (as if naman we got the budget for anything--total banckruptcy na kaya!)

I'm excited to use the days bonding with my daughter and my hubby and of course overhauling the room!

I'll be back on regular blogging starting Saturday (till Monday!) tas' hiatus muna tayo for 2 days--ay excited talaga. Maybe I'll bring my daughter for a swim! Beach galore ito!

Sige guys! Let me know about your weekend/holiday plan---sama nyo kami ha!

I dunno, but I'm feeling quite low today. Maybe it's PMS. Maybe it's depression. But whatever it is,...it's killing me.

I want to go home and lie flat on the floor. I want to meditate and pray. I want to go away and just contemplate with my life....

How I wish to imprison my self to a sanctuary....I want to cry a river. Even for a while, I just want to feel my own self...my soul.

This is all "me" talk-time, I know.

I just really wish....

It's hard to be a kid...especially when you are bored.
Pao is trying to amuse her self while waiting for bed time. I don't want to ask her to do some coloring or writing coz' anyways she just came from school.
It's only around 7pm and still very early for her to go to bed.
She's running from me coz' I'm asking her to pose for photos. After few more persuasion, she covered her self instead and tried to hide under the pillows.

I think I gave her fun unintentionally! I only want to take a photo of her. All the running and screaming out of excitement! She hugged me afterwards.

Haah kids!

Saw this from another blogger---credits to her--I just really want to repost it since it caught the same feelings I have today:

If everything is already so wrong, how much more wrong or how worse can it get?
Sometimes the non-logical choice just might be the better one. Make the choice.
You're already giving yourself a headache just thinking about it anyway.

Well, I'm just saying...

Happy Monday!

Dubai Metro Train was officially launched last 9th September 2009. Congratulations to Dubai Government and to UAE for its momentum contribution to the country!

Ibig bang sabihin nito mas madali nang gumala all over Dubai? Awww!

Oo naman, pero mas mahal ata nila ang bayan nila eh---kesa sa atin, coz' they're using all their resources for the country's advancement--hindi lang pera, pawis at dugo--kahit impluwensya pa yan.

Dubai is known as having all the 'superlatives' in the world. Greates, tallest, firsts---and now most advanced train--remember that this is a 12.5 Billion AED project. I-times mo yan sa 13, that is 162 Billion pesososeseses!!!

Maraming-maraming libreng dinner para kay Gloria! (ehehehe! joke lang).

For more information regarding the train at kung saan-saan ito makakarating, visit mo na lang ito...http://dubaimetro.eu/

Excited ang pamilya kse syempre naman ko, ke hirap magtravel ng may bata--pero with the cheap rates ng kanilang pamasahe plus ang mga lugar na maari naming makita at mapuntahan, I think, kahit maghapon n lng kami sa loob ng train paikot ikot sa buong Dubai!

Murang sight seeing diba?

O, cge--bka magkita kita tau jan! eheheheh!

Pao on weekends...

Can't blame her to feel lazy during weekends. She had her whole week spent at school from 8:00am till 4:00pm. Some days are even longer. She have to keep up with me and daddy with all our schedules and all.

She have worship on Fridays--from 9:30am till 10:30am. I'm happy that she's used in getting up early na.
But after that she would finish the day lying on the bed watching cartoons either on the tv or on her portable--sometimes, spending hours on PSP--even her daddy can't believe she's playing NBA and Mario bros. alone.
It's actually for us, just to keep her busy, while we are doing other duties.
In the evenings, you cannot fight with her over cartoons or Hanna Montana or Suite Life---she hates telenovela, especially news.
The only time I could watch on our tv is around 10:00pm na, kapag lagpak na ang loka.
Lately, since she's full time at school--she barely sees her dad lalo na pag pang gabi ang duty ni Jovel. At least they have Tues till weekend to play with each other.
I forgot to take her video while dancing kahapon. I asked her what she liked to do most--lalo na pag 'big girl' na sya? She told me she wants to dance (we were watching Avril Lavigne's concert in Japan ata yun and I was singing)---mind you, when you hear Pao's voice--sasabihin mo nga sumayaw na lang sya! hahahaha!
Wala eh.
Sa totoo lang, now I can say I'm enjoying being with her...k'se nakakausap ko na sya. We sing, we bath together, we do things together. Masaya.
Masarap maging nanay ng toddler!

I'll tell you my student is serious. She came home with her first project, ever.

A lady bug made of recycled paper plate, colored by herself using water color (which I wish is non-toxic) and pasted with used rubbers (black dots).

She's so exited telling me and all about how she did it. She's calling the thing 'bebe bug'--I believe she must've heard it wrong from her teacher (lady bug became bebe bug--hehehe!)

The proud mom displayed it on the top of our mirror, meeh seeing it there makes mommy feel so proud and happy. The price we are paying with her school makes me 'accept' the fact that "it's worth it".

She's happy though, of course, tantrums and "i'm sleepy kse eh" excuses are still there. This morning itself is a struggle. There are good days and there are stressful days like today! I'm about to scream at her again but suddenly realized my daughter do not deserve it. Thinking she's being confined in the school for more than 8 hours (while me and jovel working are working our asses to pay for the school! hahaha! Ironic!)

She's my angel. My confort zone. I've never wanted anything else in the world but my daughter.

Be safe always anak--while mum and dad are away, we pray your angels to keep you safe--away from the world of chaos, away from anything that could hurt you.

We love you sooooo much!

Philippines' Arroyo declares public holidays for Manalo, Eid
AgenciesPublished: September 05, 2009, 10:59

Manila: Philippine President Gloria Arroyo has declared public holidays on September 7 and September 21, according to a statement from the office of the Press Secretary. Financial markets in the nation will be closed on those days, said central bank Governor Amando Tetangco. September 7 has been declared a national day of mourning for religious figure Erano Manalo, while September 21 will mark Eid Al Fitr, the end of Ramadan. Manalo is the executive minister of the three-million strong Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ). He died on August 31 at the age of 84. Manalo’s father, Felix, founded Iglesia ni Cristo in 1914. Eraño, also known as Ka Erdy, took over the administration of the church after the death of his father in 1963.

Iglesia ni Cristo has over 5,400 local congregations in 90 countries, including the Middle East, with a membership composed of 102 nationalities. Iglesia ni Cristo embraces a theology contrary to the beliefs of the Roman Catholic church and believes that the elder Manalo was God's last messenger.

September has started...sa pinas, feeling pasko na ang mga tao--with parol at mga belen na idedecorate sa buong Pilipinas.
Here in the Middle East--ornaments and decos are also part of their Holy month--Ramadan.
I visited Abu Dhabi Mall yesterday. The mood is feastive but calm.
Mind you, I don't celebrate christmas, as you all know my religion does not practice that---pero you can't deny that Pasko sa pinas is something any filipino would miss. It is the gathering, the celebration--the feastive mood that you'll always remember.
I only have one and most memorable christmas--wala pa si Don (our youngest sibling) sa buhay namin noon. Me and my older bro decided to roam around the streets and ask for 'pamasko' to every house we passed through.
Naalala ko ang saya-saya namin kasi andami naming pera--it's about a thousand pesos I remember. And that time--having a thousand pesoses is like having 5k or something--basta malaki na yun!
May nakita pa nga kaming pila--eh ang haba nung pila--since earlier that day, pumila na kami sa mga bahay ng politicians (running candidates for upcoming election for that year) and man, did we get a lot! Some of them gave us Php. 20/- some are much more generous kse may laruan pa...
So yun nga, we've mistaken that commotion as the same--at kapal muks kaming pumila.
They all look at each other sabay tawa---by then naintindihan na naming magkapatid na magkakamag anak sila at yung mga nakapila ay mga pamangkin at anak.
Well, it ended up ok--kse binigyan pa rin kme ng tig-singkwenta.
We went home with lots of food and gifts and of course, money. I remember I've handed over to my mother--she's really suprised how we got the money so we told her our story...she felt sorry at the same time laughing with our naiveness...
Those were the days....hmmmnn, but--ok, God is good and life must go on...so--eto, I want to share to you some photos of what is Ramadan (ambiance) here in the Middle East.
Its not belen...those are arabs in tent...parang Iftar na ata --see wikipedia na lang for terms na hindi nyo maintindihan, neh?

The lamp--symbolizes enlightment...

Pretty lamp---want it for our porch!

Caution: Camels in the mall! ehehehe

Me. Symbolizes beauty and wisdom! Nyahahaha!!!

Paolyne's schooling since August started. As I've mentioned here before, not only the household gone through major adjustments, definitely of course the student most specially.

Here's some pictures for you, I think the series explains it all:

On the way to school...still smiling!

Outside the school...

Inside the school...asking me if she could play first...

I arrived at 6pm...(she comes home at around 4:30pm---) and this is what I saw:

Too tired to even lie flat! (in person, you'll see her, she's sleeping on sitting position)

Hahaha! That's all.
