Reasons to hate Saturdays...?

...I hate Saturdays because:

- It's a working day (for us). Off day pa ang 80% ng corporate world, at eto kaming mga nagbubungkal ng buhangin sa disyerto...well, simula na uli ng pagbubungkal! ehehehe!
- Off kasi ng habibi (english trans: my beloved) ko. Hmpf.
- Saturday lang kasi sana ang araw kong mag "me" moments. At dahil may pasok wala na akong ibang nagagawa maliban sa gawaing bahay at bata. Kelan pa ba ako huling nakapagpa spa....???whaaaaa!

Picture(s) of the day: Sa Office

My power of 4--Digestive, Tubig, Chocolate drink (minsan kape) at Honey (a teaspoon a day keeps the doctor away)

My past-time (aside of blogging)---typing maniac (facebook--pag pwede lang at open--kasi ban ang FB sa office~~ayoko naman maglagay ng ghost~hmpf ulit, ban kung ban!)

Crazy about (for month of October)--F1 updates since may race ngayon sa Abu Dhabi:

My project---mapalago ang lahat ng money plant na kinuha ko sa money plant pot ni Sir Elwood! eheheeh!

My best asset(s)~ ~ Still my nose! hahahaha! Pinoy (nose) represent!

Yun lang. Halatang ayaw magtrabaho (kasi nga sabado!)

Tulala...

..walang maikwento. Bakit nga ba?

Coz' my life sucks (big time!?)--Hmpf. =(

I can't do it...leaving Pao in the hands of who-ever-nanny who gets paid for an hourly service to take care of her. While my self, (her dutiful mother) will be somewhere in Yas Marina Island singing and dancing in tune of "Single Ladies", pathetic diba?

Kahit na alam kong in few more years 'dead legend' na ang Aerosmith (hehehe, living legend pa sila ngayon eh)--kahit na alam kong iiyak ako sa pag awit nya ng 'i don't want to close my eyes, i don't want to fall asleep---", ng "crazy", ng "pink"--syet! (oppps, badmouthing ang nanay)--I can't just leave her and parteeeehhh!

F1 Race Party/Concerts are all over Abu Dhabi. At sa dinami-dami ng free concerts all over the town--sana kahit yung performance ni Timbaland sa Friday night mapanood ko.There's Beat Antenna and Soul II Soul and May Hariri's performance tonight. Baka pati yun hindi ko na rin mapanood--pero for sure dadalhin ko uli si Pao this afternoon for another F1 experience.

There would never be a chance that Philippines could be nominated as F1 Race area!

Pao might not be able to retain all this wonderful events in her young memories, baka ni hindi na nya maalala na nakita nya, nahawakan nya (yung totoong F1 car na ginagamit sa race) at she once became a part of F1 event in Abu Dhabi, but at least naman naibigay ko sa kanya yung experience.

Hindi na bale na nga--we could still wait for the other events like the upcoming Eid and National Day, maeenjoy rin namin together ang parade at fireworks display!

Syet!

Wednesday Featured Blog...

I've decided to have a Wednesday Featured Blog after bumping to one of the most 'kwela' blog I've ever read. Naman.

I love reading. Sobra.

Then I go on and try to see more of his movie reviews--ang napansin ko agad ay yung mga kwento nya tungkol sa kaibigan nya (si Khikhi)--I wonder if she's true or a pigment of his imagination. Pero nung makita kong may picure sya (si Khikhi), parang I can't believe na ok lang sa kanya yung mga panloloko (or should I say pambababoy!? eheheh) ni Glentot sa kanya...

After the first story about Khikhi, yun na--like an addict--I really got hooked up.

One thing that made me liked him--no, envy him is his spontaneity--effortless ang lahat dahil yung isinusulat nya ay yung talagang sya.

I'm living in a different world, too different from his, from Glentot's world.

I dunno if he wants his blog to be promoted...kaya hindi ko alam kung pwede kong ilagay ang link. But you can find his blog catalogued in BNP (link above). Thanks WICKEDMOUTH for a wonderful Tuesday with you! Feeling ko tuloy may date ako sayo araw-araw! (feeling)
-------------------------------------
Update:
Thanks Glentot for acknowledging (a response) my entry about you. Really, it's nothing. Magaling ka talagang mag lay ng kwento. Naks! Ipapalaganap kita dito para international ka na. Pa-autograph din ha!

Pixel Bug Monday

Eto na yung iniintay kong Monday. Kasi ngayon ko maikukwento ang mga naging adventures namin for the past weekend. Ano nga ba?

After a loong week of confinement (house arrest! ehehehe) due to flu (my hubby and Pao), we had a chance to go out last Saturday and visit the F1 Abu Dhabi FanZone in Corniche, Abu Dhabi--and here's what:

(P.s. Just take a look on our faces, especially Pao's expressions--how happy she is after her all-week bed rest)

I can tell you, nothing can beat this event so far, and what more if they let us see Beyonce do a live show in Corniche (hahaha! dreaming!), till this date.

I thought when the UAE celebrated their 35th National Day with all the laser show and mardi gras effect street party--I thought it was the best---I've never imagined Abu Dhabi to be this open,..to be this liberated.

Cinema at the beach, live concerts, hollywood personalities---all in one event!

The F1 Abu Dhabi in Yas Marina will be held this coming 30, 31 and finals on the first. For more details about this even please visit http://www.yasalam.ae/ and http://www.yasmarinacircuit.com/

**I'm still hoping to get the free mubadala/F1/puma red cap, even I don't win the free trip to Australia! Awww!

Sorry for the long absence...

..my kiddo got sick as well as my habibi. Both on the same week. I feel like a nurse on a 24/7 duty. Pao got flu, cold and cough. Si Jovel naman got flu.

The photo above wasn't able to give justice on how she really looks on the first day of her flu. Her face was red and her eyes are bloated and red too. Her temperature was stapled to 38 degs. even after paracetamol intake.

It lasted for about 5 days. Good thing I have a leave due and I was able to apply for a week off from work. Tired (for the whole week!) yet I never felt so happy and satisfied till then. I realized this is the first time I spent whole days with her.

I think that is what made her got well immediately, my presence...my attention, my care.

My husband felt a bit neglected though, heheheh. sorry Mahal...got to do what I got to do. I can't even hug him coz' I don't want to transmit his virus to our daughter. If only i could push him to stay away and tranfer to other room till he gets well. hahaha!

Pao is now all clear from the viral infection and back to her 'kulits', she's also back to school. If only I could wish that it won't happen again...but all I can do is to ready myself...yet again, just in case.

We had a wonderful weekend for the last day of my leave and as mentioned earlier for my Monday meme, I will share to you the photos tomorrow.

Thanks for all those who keep on visiting my page on my absence....I'm back alive and kickin'!

Ciao!

School Uniform...

Her school started on the first week of October. However, the uniform just got distributed and we received ours 2 days ago.

I immediately washed it so she could wear hers yesterday. Upon fitting, we discovered that the pants--though tagged 'LARGE' still cannot fit her--my little girl is plump (mana sa nanay!). Her size is actually for 7-8 years old,--yet she's only 4.

In tagalog, it is what we call 'malaking bulas'.

This morning, eventhough she woke up late (we travel going to school at 8:00am, she got up at 7:45am)--she was able to ready her self (with mommy working with her like 'The Flash'), had her warm bath and excitedly wear her uniform (all other things like cologne, powder and eating breakfast is being done while in the car--anyways, the traffic is so tremendous--we have enough time for everything!)

Here she is, my little girl on her school uniform:

She's wearing her white Converse (lowcut), she already have a canvass with combination of yellow and light blue. I'll get her 2 more in red and blue. And if the blessing is good, I'll get her another canvass type and a highcut in black!

I love Converse sneakers, but I only have 1 so far..a White highcut. That's it. I can't collect this but I'll do this for her--she will have the collection I'm dreaming of. hehehe!

Ehem...

Wala naman. My day is sooo ordinary.

A little conversation with my hubby. A little tantrums from my kid. A little busy in the office. A little chat with my collegues by lunch.

Nothing much except that now, I am an AVON Lady na! ehehehe!

Yeah, you read it right. I've registered my self earlier. Another chance to have a little more spice to add up in my life (and avoid facing bankrupcy in the near future)

I've already gathered Dhs. 390/- as first order. Not bad for my first day--to think everyone is trying to save and doesn't want to spend. Ahem!

Binatas ko talaga sila! ehehehe!

I am really praying and hoping that even on this small venture, God nurture me and give me the hands that will produce better fruits of labor and best marketing skills para naman makabenta tayo jan!

Ayos!

True Friends..

..that's me and Catherine...

We never really planned for it. We don't even hang out often. We don't see each other for a week sometimes. But still we know, we are friends --for better and for worst.

I met Catherine 8 years ago. The cutest tomboy, she is with her short hair and pale complexion. She's quite silent yet with her eyes full of life...she's my Ate.

She's tough...(like the wolf that would huff and puff till she blows your house down--won't take 'no' for an answer, till she can squeeze you out!hahaha). She dreamt of being a lawyer..anyways she ended up having the best career in life. Being a mother--a working mom!

I got married earlier than her (*ehem-let's skip that story*) But she got pregnant six months before I conceived. Her little princess, Aeon Kirsten. (She also have another kid, Aeron--her angel).

My kid, Pao and Kitten (oo nga, anak sya ni Cat) get along very well. Never a dull moment. Parang kaming mga nanay nila. Non-stop ang bibig pag nagkasama. Cat's a great cook. At ako, magaling naman akong kumain. She's fast and furious.

We're the exact opposite of each other, yet we get along just fine. We love talking, non-stop--anything and everything under the sun!

Parang si Kitten at si Pao, they are their exact opposite. Si Pao parang lalaki ang liksi, while Kitten is very lady-like.

You can't imagine. Riot talaga! Ansaya!

They love singing--parehong sintunado. Ay naku naman talaga.

We went for a little trip yesterday.

Kitten and Pao--Nahihiya pa...

japan-japan!

Kanya kanyang pose..

Where's the treasures??(tinuruan pa ni Kitten si Pao--kse nga dapat pareho sila ng pose! hehehe)

So happy~~with all the people laughing at them! Ang kukulit!

With me...

With me, extra ang kamay ng mga magulang. heheheh!

They love each other as we, Cat and myself love each other--like sisters (anyways we are sisters in faith). I know nothing's forever, but we hope this could last till we can...till we can Cat!

They are tyring to provoke me...

...to punish them!

I haven't mentioned it here yet...my household problem. I'm really about to burst like a volcano (if I'll choose to be a volcano, well, I want to be the Taal! So posh! Sobrang istariray! Putting yourself in the middle of a lake! O deeva! So mysterious, so dramatic! -hmp, segway hehehe)

I've mentioned here, on my other blog--intended sana for pictures--and UAE story but still my PM (pamilyamatters) crosses the line (of story)--so, mukhang ma dedelete na naman sya since I have multiply rin naman which I can use for picture blogging.

Na mention ko na ba before that I am a walking allergy? I'm allergic to seafoods, dust, perfume, cosmetics--and I've had enough experience with it. (Yeah, posted pictures of my recent hospitalization on my group blog--just click the link)

Dahil may bago akong PET! Total badtrip talaga!

At eto, eto ang ginawa nya recently:

My skirt from Koton

Pao's one and only maong...sheesh!

Hubby's most important pants..for church nya ito eh!

They told me, i should not call them names--curse them or make them feel I'm angry with them. Naman! Hindi ba ako magagalit nyan. Do I have to stroke their backs and pat them--they feed on garbage and scatter the leftovers. They nib on anything-- the linoleum, doors and noodles on our storage.

They pee a lot, they poop everywhere!

We tried to poison them (Dora Rat--you're not as effective, dapat ba subukan ko muna? *nagpapatawa lang*). We tried napataline balls, detol, at ano ano pa!

They are suggesting to use sticky traps. OMG!

My husband caught one when it accidentally fell on the tall garbage bin--ilang araw sya doon--walang kain. Binuhusan ng asawa ko ng kumukulog tubig! Ahhhh! I can't handle it talaga!--animal rights, sorry but you have spare us with this one--hehehe!

What will be our next move? Ewan ko pa...ah basta!

I hate you Mickey Mouse!

(Ps: In question if our place is clean--ehem!

UAE DNA Database set to start in a year...

This news from The National (local newspaper in UAE) caught my eyes...hmmmnnn. Ano na naman ba ito?

When the government called for 'Emirates ID', the companies in UAE enforced all their staff to arrange all the necessary process to get it done...somehow, till date after I registered in 2007 for interview/ID application, I have not received any call or any enquiry from the government's statistics office.

Date back 2001, a personnel from statistics office used to visit every household to inquire personally and do the identification process in flesh..Oo naman. Isa isang bahay...isa isang flat.

So when they announced that E-ID system will be imposed, wala namang nag 'i beg your pardon'..hhehe. If it's for the better bakit naman hindi diba? Even if we already have 'labor card' (pataka/iqama) issued for every employee with working visa. Basically, here in UAE, no person is allowed to work in any private or public sector without the proper Pataka. And to have it, the company employing you will arrange all the document registration with the labour office.

Same with a person holding a residence visa. Them too, have their residence card issued by the naturalisation and immigration office--the same office is in conjuction with the labor dept syempre.

With that, you assume that the whole population in UAE has been ID'd including of course those who comes in with the visit/tourist visa, na sa immigration office naman nakaregister.

Pero parang hindi pa ata enough for them...

We'll I believe that the UAE government naman always thrive to give the best not only to the nationals but to the expats also. Lalo na ang working force nila. Palagay ko naman, all this years--the labor rules has evolved better and more balanced wih mutual benefits for the employer and the employee.

And now this....

The newspaper mentioned..

“This should take us approximately one year.”

Then, he said, the UAE would start collecting DNA samples from the general public, beginning with juveniles.

“The aim is to eventually have a profile of the entire population,” said Dr Marzooqi, who is also the chairman of the DNA Working Group, made up of various police forces across the Emirates.

“Our goal is to sample one million per year, which could take as long as 10 years if you factor in the population growth.”
Ok....I, myself, do not have any opposement on this as I always believe this will happen and planned with good intention so, I just hope that it is all for betterment and good of all mankind. I, thank you! hehehehe!

Yun lang po.

News Release from Government of Canada

News ReleaseGovernment of Canada announces special immigration measures for typhoon victims in the Philippines

Ottawa, October 1, 2009 — Residents in the Philippines who are significantly affected by Typhoon Ketsana are being offered special measures to facilitate immigration to Canada, announced Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney.

“I would like to express my deepest sympathy and support for the people of the Philippines affected by this terrible disaster,” said Minister Kenney. “This government is moving quickly to reunite Canadians and permanent residents with their families by extending a welcome to those who wish to come to Canada.”

Effective immediately, Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC) visa office in the Philippines is responding on a priority basis for those directly affected by the disaster.

This will be applied to new and existing applications from Canadian citizens, permanent residents and protected persons who have close family members in the Philippines. They must, however, identify themselves as being directly and significantly affected by the current situation and notify CIC.

New sponsorship applications should have “Philippines” prominently written on the mailing envelope. Sponsors and applicants presently in Canada who have applications in process should notify the CIC Call Centre at 1-888-242-2100 (in Canada only) to identify their existing applications, if they or the family they have sponsored have been adversely affected.

Temporary residence applicants will be given priority processing by the visa office in Manila once they demonstrate that they have been significantly affected by the typhoon.

These special measures are in addition to the up to $5 million for humanitarian assistance and early recovery to respond to the needs of the populations affected by Typhoon Ketsana announced by International Cooperation Minister Beverley J. Oda earlier this week.

WTF???

The Typhoon Parma (local name Pepeng) is trying to make a 'comeback' in Philippine scene like a one day starlet, gone and now taking the local news again. Para syang s** film scandal, lumabas at ngayon 'nasa internet pa rin'--parang kantang 'Careless Whisper'~~sumikat noong whatever-decada tas naluma at nabuhay uli!

Parma is coming back to Philippines area (of responsibility?). He will either try to help cleaning up or this time, he's gonna finish us all. So wtf? (sorry I'm pissed~ nakakapagod na sya ha!)

Ring..ring..no ring!

My boss called me yesterday after the meeting. I was thinking I forgot to include something on the report or what. Then he showed me his phone (an old Nokia I-dont-even-know-the-model-anymore type). He was complaining he doesn't have signal since morning. He thought it's the phone so he asked me if I could do some magic with it. hehehe. as if!

I tried calling 101 since he already have a notification that his line is paid..so maybe it's not the phone, maybe it's the sim card. I asked him if his phone fell on the floor or shaken or shocked. hahaha! Parang hindi na kakayanin ng telepono, I'm telling you (black and white pa ang screen nito!)

Okheys, so all the answers to my questions are nil (and dumb k'se his face looked stunned as if I'm a call center agent asking him to repair his unit while instructing him over the phone! nyahahaha).

After a while, I learned that few more of our staff doesn't have connection too. One more, 101 is continuously busy--can't be reached ang Etisalat?

So,...apparently...Etisalat had some problems with their services due to software upgrades.Hmp. Buti na lang may nagsalita kahapon..."I think it's from Etisalat..."

Mukha ba akong mobile technician? hehehe!

Do-it-yourself Boats...

My husband keeps on asking me to buy the Intex (inflatable) bed. He is insisting it is a better bed than the cushioned ones. Affordable, portable and easy to store in case its not needed.

He's seeing on TV being used by the typhoon victims as a way of transport through the flood. Now he is mocking me~ "Hah! I told you it's of better use!"~ ~ what else can I say? He already saw a proof of justice towards his doggedness to this inflatable beds!

Picture credit from ABS-CBN news website

"It might save your life...you are asleep and a sudden flashflood came--little you know, you are floating in the water with your inflatable bed!--O diba!?"

Hahaha!

Not that we need it here in Abu Dhabi--pero parang gusto ko na ngang magsisi coz' I chose to buy the sofa bed from Home Center. Ngayon the other half is already dented and the warranty is over. If we'll send this to a furniture maker they might charge me double than the price we've bought it!

"And it's so hard to carry this whenever we transfer to a new house! It gets dirty and smelly too coz' Pao keeps on wetting it!" Nyaaaaa!!!!

Paano ba yan? Makikinig kse kay mister eh. I surrender!

Let me do this...now!

Juice Diet! Juice ko poh! It's not only to lose weight. I really want to correct my diet. Alam ko naman na I'm overweight for a long time na. And it's irritating. Not able to wear the clothes I want. To be bloated all the time. To be the center of joke!

Kaya ko nga ba? 4 to 7 days of Juice Diet!

Ayokong magdalawang isip...ayokong mag backout.

Hopefully bukas na..., tomorrow is the day!!

I found this in Google Image:

I just want to do the 4-7 days juice diet and then continue to a much healthier diet plan. When I say diet it doesn't mean "die yet" hehehe. I know I'm stressed. Most of of the time I feel anxious.

Anyways, I want to commit my self on this. Lahat ng mga pinlano ko for this year, thank God, natupad na. Maliban dito. Etong weight problem na lang.

Sana nga eto na. Wish ko lang---it's time to discipline my self. It's time to stop procrastination.

Vote for Efren Penaflorida for CNNHeroes

Please vote for our kababayan Efren Penaflorida. We all know the heroism he is doing for the street kids in the Philippines. We all know the sacrifices he do.

Is God angry with the Politicians...?

Coz' after Ondoy and while Pepeng still wrecking the northern part of Philippines--Cotabato had a 6.6 magnitude of earthquake....!!

Sana hindi naman sya galit diba...

The only reason I can see why we are receiving all the blows is because God wants us to be wise and careful--not to vote all the users and abusers (na para na ring mga adik--adik sa kapangyarihan). Hah!

I know this is the best way for them to "show off" and campaign. Pero matira ang matibay. Matira ang totoo. Sana hindi lang plastikan ang lahat.

More latest news from ABS-CBN website regarding the earthquake.

Let us all pray for our motherland. Pray for us...

My Pamangkins...

The new addition to the family...hehehe. Bit too late I know...but I believe I haven't posted ay of their pictures. So here's my two nieces. Patricia Anne and Chanelle..

My brother, Nelson married at a very young age (18) with the best SIL you could have Analyn, whose 19 y.o. then. Their first born, Neil Patrick (sowee but I don't have his picture) is 13 now, parang kapatid lang nila.

After more than 10 years, they decided to add few more members to the family. Hindi lang namin inaasahan na ganun kabilis. In a span of 2 years eh ayan..dalawa agad ang addition.

I would want to tell all their stories here but maybe next time...ayan na nga. Isang kamuha ng nanay at isang kamukha ng tatay. hehehe.

Patricia Anne

Chanelle

Look at my SIL's face, how happy and contented she is as a wife and as a mother. Lagi syang naka mini skirt noon tas kulay itim ang kuko na may mapulang lipstick at pulang buhok!

Sino naman ang magsasabing matino sya diba?

But as the saying goes.."Do not judge me, I am not a book" (ahehehehe--Do not judge the book by its cover)--she plays her role as a mother and as a husband with all her heart. I could say, qualities that I don't have.

Now, I can say, my brother found a gem--o diba?

Ang sipsip ko na Ate! hahahaha! I love you all! Especially you!

Prayers answered...

At last, it seems like the typhoons finally concede and now moving towards the northern tip of our beloved country. The prayers weakened the 'super typhoon'!

We all know that (we just tend to forget)..prayers are powerful...prayers heals, God heard all the mournings, the sufferings, our cry..

Excuse me for being too emotional. I am too, was so distressed with all the weather change. Not only because I feel for our countrymen who got hit by the recent disaster...but because I'm also too worried for my mother.

We all know the story.

Till now, we still can't have a closure about the issue. It still worries me. It still makes me cry.

How I wish I am superhuman. How I wish I'm rich. Bionic.

I wish to have a time delay/time freeze power. I wish I have the power to turn back the hands of time. I wish I can fly,..or have a magic mirror...I wish to be like Bruce Wayne.

So maybe then I could really turn back the time when everything is still ok. Or watch them all over my magic mirror to check if they are all doing well and fly to them in case of home sickness.

I wish to be as rich as Bruce Wayne--so could give all their needs---and help for the needs of others.

But I can't--coz' I'm not. My heart keeps telling me "Do not fret"---God is hearing me. God knows my sorrows and it hurts Him to see I'm in pain. And so for the others...

And that whatever I can't do...He can. And He will provide. He would help.

This all happens with a purpose. And I believe we all know that already. God still wants to see how much we love our country...God wants to know how much we care for our brothers and sisters. How much we can do for others...

It all goes back to basic...

I'm happy. God hears my prayers, our prayers. He keeps her safe---He keep our country safe.

Thank you po.

Another storm is approaching to Philippines...

The typhoon Pepeng (international codename Parma) is fast approching the Philippines. PAGASA is predicting that its impact is more than Ondoy's...being compared to the super typhoon Reming that hit us in 2006.

I'm worried. I'm worrying for my mother. Even if we are not in good terms still...thinking where she is and how she is doing now. I know she's working in a canteen near my secondary school.

I know she has someone new who loves her now. I just still can't believe. Like the victims of typhoon Ondoy--nothing was left for me and my siblings...but the memories...which they don't want to recall anymore.

It's unfair I know. And I am stupid I guess. For dreaming that somehow...that I could turn back the hands of time and go back to that moment when all this haven't happen.

I'm always saying to you guys...better to live without regrets--coz' I got so much...and it's so heavy to carry. Such a burden to keep.

I can't cope up. I can't forget. I can't heal.

Time will pass. But the feelings are the same...help me Lord, lead me to the path where all things will be better. Lead me to healing...to acceptance.

Heal me.
